Custom House Quay
There’s loads to do on Custom House Quay, you can catch a fast rib ride into the harbour with Weymouth Bay Rib Charters, hire jet ski’s from right outside our door with Jurassic Jet Ski Tours, watch the fishing boats coming in and out and even catch a water taxi to be rowed from one side of the quay to the other.
Nothe Forte Gardens
Just under 1 mile from the Ship, Nothe Fort and Gardens are is one of Weymouth’s major attractions, a great day out for all the family with lots to see and explore. Pop in for some refreshments after your day exploring the fort.Find out more

Jurassic Skyline, Festival Pier
Half a mile from the Ship, the Jurassic Skyline is ideal for families and people of all ages. Take your seat as the gondola gently rises 53m (174ft) above the town, once at the top, the fully enclosed gondola will slowly perform two full rotations, allowing plenty of time to take in the stunning views of the Jurassic Coast, Nothe Fort, Portland and Weymouth Harbour.Find out more
Just 20 minutes drive from the Ship and popular with climbers and walkers, Portland Bill is a narrow promontory (or bill) at the southern end of the Isle of Portland. Portland’s dangerous coastline with shallow reefs, sandbanks and the strong Portland tidal race has made it notorious over the centuries for the number of shipwrecks. As a result the bill has three lighthouses the most famous being the Portland Bill Lighthouse.Find out more
The Jurassic Coast is a World Heritage Site that stretches 96 miles from Exmouth in East Devon to Studland Bay in Dorset, a great area for walking.
